If you play Hearthstone Arena as much as I do, the questions of what days and what times is Hearthstone’s Arena play the easiest have certainly crossed your mind. It has mine. As someone that works from home my daily break has become the Hearthstone arena. With nearly 1400 wins I’ve had 12 win decks 15 times as well as many 11, 10 win, and even a few shameful 0-3 decks. Yes Twitch, the 0-3 police are coming for me.
Is Hearthstone Arena Harder Than it Used to Be?
When Hearthstone began I learned value quickly from Trump. As my game evolved I began to use more and more of my own thought process and deck creation skills to succeed and learn. In some cases, I learned where I thought Trump was wrong. I’m not the only played that has evolved. While the skill gap between me and the full-time streamers or pros was large at first, that skill gap gets smaller and smaller with every win that players like me get.
While the game is still based on skill level, sites like Hearth Arena give new players a good idea of what cards add value. While these sites are far from perfect, they do help those who have little experience to know the value of one card vs another. Having much better cards than an experienced player is often enough even for those new to the game.

When is Hearthstone Arena the Easiest?
Full disclosure. I am a North American player. The times I’ve played and experiences I’ve had are fully based upon that. As there are more players from the United States than anywhere else on that particular server, odds are that what I’m saying makes the most sense for people in that region.
The Summer Effect:
In my mind Hearthstone gets easier in the summer. Kids are home and more young and less-experienced kids and teens play during their free time.
Hey Mom, I’m Home!
That same logic plays to when kids get home from school each day for Monday through Friday. For this reason it makes sense that arena would get slightly easier at 12PM EST and continue getting easier until about 6PM EST when all kids have gotten home from school.

When is Hearthstone Arena the Hardest?
Late Night
On the other side of the coin you have to start thinking about when kids start going to sleep during the week. For most teens sleep comes naturally before 11PM. This may be an inaccurate assumption, but from that, I’d say that teens, on average, stop playing at 10PM EST to 1AM EST (California teens) altogether. In other words, at that time it starts to get significantly harder. If you’re playing at 1AM, prepare for the best that Hearthstone has to offer.
Morning:
Having played a lot in the morning around 10AM EST to 12PM EST I can tell you from personal experience that this is a very difficult time to play as well. Some may call it RNG, but in my opinion it’s not. It’s demographics. Who would be playing Hearthstone during the morning but older, less casual players. For me this time feels very similar to late night. Clearly this goes out the window once the summer effect comes into play.

Final Thoughts:
I’m not saying that kids are bad at Hearthstone. In fact, I have a 9 year old son that I’d put up against the best of them. That being said, it’s more likely that the best players are those who have the most time, or in other words, those out of High School. With the introduction of phones into the game there are certainly a lot of new older players as well that play when their bosses aren’t looking. We’ve all benefited from the increasing amount of wins by disconnect.
Overall, skill still matters. But, if you’re trying to get the most arena wins possible in order to avoid paying for Hearthstone, then when and what time you play should definitely be taken into consideration.
